We Love Strippers!

Talk about new territory! Emmaus is reaching out to Nashville area adult performers… also known as “strippers” in the urban vernacular. We couldn’t be more excited about reaching out to these girls with the amazing love of Jesus, and you can help us do it

We’re modeling our initiative after an L. A. based outreach that has seen some really cool results. Basically, our initiative will work like this… A group of pre-approved* girls from the Emmaus community will visit 2 or 3 strip clubs and adult establishments per month. The Emmaus girls take gift bags to the performers that contain a few nice gifts like handmade jewelry from a local artist, a small bottle of popular perfume such as Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, a book of matches with the initiative logo and contact info, and a couple of other small items.

The gift bag also includes a card that simply says, “We just wanted you to know that you are loved. If you ever need anything at all, please contact us at the number or website listed below… we’re happy to do whatever we can to help!”

Performers who contact us are taken some more information and a Bible, and are treated to a meal with a couple of girls from the Emmaus community. Of course, we’re also gonna do our best to meet whatever needs are presented to us… and that’s where you can help!

Please consider partnering with us in one of the following ways:

• Volunteer! We need help assembling gifts and going on visitations.
• Buy a gift for a stripper! For $20 you can help us reach these girls, $20 covers the cost of producing one complete gift bag.
• Become a need-meeter! We’ll add you to a contact list and will let you know when we are presented with needs we feel are appropriate to pass along.

What an amazing opportunity God has given us to fight the enemies of the Invisible Kingdom on the front lines! Remember, love wins… everytime!
