Show A Stripper Some Love!
One of the exciting ways Emmaus feels called to serve Nashville is by reaching out to strippers and other adult performers.
These ladies need to hear that they have worth not because of what they can do with a pole, or because of how they look, but simply because they were created by an amazing God who loves them unconditionally… and that gives them immeasurable worth!
As our last outreach of the year, we’d like to give every stripper in Nashville a Christmas gift… but we’ll need your help to make it happen!
It sounds cliché and a bit cheesy, but first of all, you can pray for us and for divine appointments when we visit the clubs. We are going into some very spiritually dark places to shine the light of God’s love; we desperately desire to be covered with your prayers!
Secondly, you can come and help us get ready by joining us at Emmaus for “The Stuffing O’ The Bags,” when we stuff the gift bags with gifts for the girls. If you’re interested in helping, please call Vicky at 615-557-5258 for more information.
Lastly, you can help us financially. We want to make an impact with these ladies and so we do our best to give them nice gifts with “no string attached,” no agenda. The gifts usually contain lip-gloss, a necklace, and a nice miniature of perfume.
This project will cost about $3500. We’ve already received around $1500 in donations. Please pray about how you can help! If you feel God is placing it on your heart to give, you may make checks payable to Emmaus Church Nashville and write “strippers” in the memo line!
